When a visitor clicks on a specific link, the content of that link is inserted into the page without a refresh. When a page doesn't exist, a user-friendly error message is given. [Note: This is an edited version of the original script.]

I have the exact same problem!

Script works fine for static sites. But the caching is a pain for dynamic sights!

This seems to only work for pages that exist on your own database. Is there a way to get it to work for external sites?

I have only tested this on FF2.0.0.9

Not sure what you mean. It works fine for me using FF 2.0.0.9. Each time I click a link, it loads the page only once.

hi, i'm trying to find a simple ajax navigation code to implement on a few sites (finally get rid of those frames!) and this one seemed super. got it to work as it is without any problems. one question though, what's the meaning of the 'my_site_content' part in the open-url string? i don't know anything about java, so i couldn't figure it out.

and if anybody has any other great navigation scripts, i'll be interested. actually wanted something with php (since i know some), but they all seem so complicated...
