This technique allows you to open a modal window, which is like a pop-up window, but doesn't actually open another window/tab. It does not conflict with pop-up blockers. Easy to set-up and use. The style is controlled through CSS. This is great for launching other Web pages or image galleries. Full documentation is included.

Your question is beyond the scope of these comments. You will need to post it over on the JavaScript forum. You can also check the author's web site. They have a nice FAQ and discussion list Thanks!

SSL Issue

I like this function, however I currently use a similar function but when a user is logged into our https site the function generates a SECURITY error saying the info has secure and non-secure items. Can this be resolved or will a IE user ALWAYS see this error when clicking the link in a https environment.

Please advise because this pop up is much cooler, but is not usable if it errors in a https site.

There should be a "close" button in the upper right-hand corner. If not, you can check the forums on the author's site.

Yes, just add it to the "title" attribute, as shown in the documentation.
